Twilight Talks
The Green Register's early evening talks supported by Ecomerchant: together promoting ethical, healthy sustainable building materials
On the second Monday of each month The Green Register brings you our Twilight Talks - a relaxed and informal string of events on sustainable building matters to complement our regular training topics.
Each one-hour event is FREE of charge and features short talks from one or more speakers. With Q&A and discussion sessions throughout, everyone is invited to be part of the conversation. We hold Twilight talks at 5-6pm, in the sweet spot between work and dinner – so join us to nourish the mind before replenishing the body!
A low carbon and circular built environment needs holistic working with other aspects of sustainability, productivity, resilience, social impact and health and wellbeing.
Katherine Adams, Technical Director at ASBP and co-director of Reusefully Ltd, and Gilli Hobbs, Sustainability and Circular Economy Advisor and co-director at Reusefully Ltd, enable the practical implementation of circular economy thinking throughout the construction supply chain and provide evidence-based support and advice for related policy development.
This interactive Twilight Talk will explore 'Buildings As Material Banks', getting to grips with circularity through the journeys of several specific materials, including sharing your own stories of accessing re-used materials, and reviewing recent examples of how much we learn from pre-demolition audits.
