March’s Retrofit Action Week Summit

Hosted by Retrofit West, The West of England Combined Authority and Future Leap, The West of England Retrofit Summit 2025 is an online event designed for those involved in large-scale and community retrofit projects, including local authority officers, installers, contractors, consultants, community organisations, surveyors, academics, landlords, and green economy organisations.

The summit features a fast-paced, retrofit-focused speaker program, curated with Retrofit West, the West of England Combined Authority, Future Leap and the regional Advisory Group, to ensure local needs and objectives are central. It runs on Zoom Events over 25-27 March 2025, 08:45-12:30hrs each morning, offering presentations, Q&A sessions, themed breakouts and networking opportunities, allowing participants to join from any location without travel.

Each morning has a specific theme:

Morning 1: Business growth support and scaling (trades focus)

Speakers from Retrofit West, Mission Net Zero, and The Green Register will be speaking about how to sell and deliver retrofit and how to prepare your business for retrofit growth using case studies.

Morning 2: Winning retrofit business (trades focus)

Speakers from Bristol City Leap will unveil the scale and value of the emerging retrofit market and the pipeline of work already available. Case studies and panel sessions will be providing real-life insights and signposting to business support.

Morning 3: Why retrofit? (Homeowner and community groups focus)

Speakers will highlight retrofit pathways for householders and community groups, along with giving practical advice on retrofit measures and financing options.

Each morning of the summit will also include a speaker Questions & Answers section and themed Breakout Discussion rooms.

The summit is designed to facilitate learning and information-sharing in an informal setting. Each session includes Q&A with experts and discussions with peers. Themed breakout rooms provide insights into low carbon technologies and solutions, with recent themes covering barrier removal, tenant engagement, social value, ventilation, finance, funding, partnerships, metrics and air quality strategies.

Our event Thought Leader Partners EcoFurb will provide technical expertise, while the program is guided by a regional advisory group including Retrofit West, Future Leap, Bath & West Community Energy, The Eco Scheme, The Green Register and West of England Combined Authority.
