Exclusive Tour of a Low Energy New Build Home Near Bath

Event Details

  • Date:
  • Venue: Marshfield
Join us for a 2-hour site visit with client and architects of a recently completed Passivhaus build in an historic Cotswold village.

About the event

Building a Passivhaus is never easy. Add six neighbours, a compact site, narrow south frontage, an elevated and exposed location, conservation area planning constraints, arboriculture, ecological, and archaeological restrictions into the mix, and you get a flavour of the challenges overcome by CaSA Architects in delivering this low energy home in Marshfield.

CaSA Architects will guide you around the finished house and present the design process from concept through to realisation on site, explaining how they overcame the challenges of planning, technical design and Passivhaus certification, and the lessons learnt.

They will outline the thermal performance predicted using PHPP compared to actual performance data, and the client will be on hand to talk and answer questions about their experience of living in a Passivhaus.

Light refreshments will be provided.
