Passivhaus Contractor Training - Online

Over 2 half-day webinars we will cover the essential principles of Passivhaus standards and the implications for delivering quality on site. Ideal as stand-alone training for site managers, contractors, clients and others.

For those wishing to go on to gain accreditation through the Certified Passivhaus Tradesperson qualification, further dates, including an examination session, will be added later in the year.

Trainers: Eric Fewster and Sally Godber

ABOUT THE TRAINERS

Eric Fewster

Eric is a Passivhaus Consultant, a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager and Chartered Environmentalist. For the past 20 years, his ‘day job’ mostly involved water supply & sanitation in low-income countries during which time he helped to co-found BushProof, an award-winning business based in Madagascar. After gaining experience through carrying out a deep retrofit on his own house between 2008-2010, he decided to retrain as a Passivhaus Consultant in order to help other homeowners struggling to do the same – this he does through his business ColdProof, which offers energy analysis, thermal bridge modelling, costing and project management. Eric is passionate about the need for retrofit in the UK – he knows that it’s a huge challenge with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, but knows that despite this it must happen nevertheless! This has been his motivation for helping Carbonlite to develop their Passivhaus Tradesperson course, which is an essential tool for training up building contractors in low energy construction.

Sally Godber

Sally’s early career as a building services engineer focussed on renewable and low energy systems for a diverse range of sectors including historic, industrial and educational buildings. Life as a services engineer was too easy-going so she set up WARM with her father Peter in 2009. WARM is an energy consultancy providing Passivhaus design advice and certification but also dabbles in building services, training, monitoring and anything else that improves the built environment and looks interesting.

Sally particularly enjoys creating buildings with good internal comfort, preferably without extra cost.
