Most construction professionals are aware that a performance gap often exists between the predicted energy use and carbon emissions of our buildings and those during the operation.

The communication - or lack thereof – between members of the design team, and in particular, between architects and building services engineers is often cited as one of the key reasons the performance gap exists.

Added to this is the fact that as we move into the middle of the 21st century, it is not going to be heat loss that we have to be concerned about but overheating - a serious and sometimes life threatening siltation that, with good design and communication, can be avoided.

The Green Register and CIBSE have teamed up to present an afternoon seminar to explore the subject of overheating, to discuss what causes this to happen and present some of the solutions that can be easily included into the design of buildings using a collaborative approach.

There will be ample opportunity for delegates to discuss overheating issues related to their current projects.
