Upcoming events from Woodknowledge Wales

Woodknowledge Wales are running an in-person course (in three locations) called Learning to specify timber. This course will give delegates the confidence to specify timber and avoid the costly mistakes that catch so many projects out. Attendees will be able to deliver outstanding performance, protect their reputation, and give their clients and customers a result they’ll trust for years to come.

Details and booking are here:

Their in-person visual strength grading course in November is on the Gower in south Wales. Making the grade will give delegates a practical insight into the hidden art of timber grading and how it can unlock a myriad of possibilities for making better use of lesser known species as well as reclaimed timber. Architects, structural engineers and others involved in the design process are welcome to attend the first day of the course free-of-charge, dependent on spaces being available. Further details available here.

This is in addition to our free Timber 101 webinar series, which started this week, aimed at built and natural environment professionals, and anyone looking to deepen their understanding of timber as a construction material. Click here for more information.
