Twilight Talks
On the second Monday of each month The Green Register brings you our Twilight Talks - a relaxed and informal string of events on sustainable building matters to complement our regular training topics.
Each one-hour event is FREE of charge and features short talks from one or more speakers. With Q&A and discussion sessions throughout, everyone is invited to be part of the conversation. We hold Twilight talks at 5-6pm, in the sweet spot between work and dinner – so join us to nourish the mind before replenishing the body!
Twilight Talk: The Sustainability Pathfinder: Navigating Complexity in the Built Environment
The built environment is facing unprecedented sustainability challenges. From net zero and biodiversity to health, resilience and circularity, the number of frameworks, standards and competing priorities continues to grow. For many project teams knowing where to start, or what matters most, can feel overwhelming.
In this talk, Paloma Hermoso will introduce the Sustainability Pathfinder, a practical framework developed to help organisations, project teams and individuals navigate complexity, ask better questions and make more informed decisions throughout the life of a project.
Drawing on experience across the construction sector, alongside insights from psychology and systems thinking, Paloma will explore why sustainability often feels difficult to implement and how a more human-centred approach can help move conversations beyond compliance towards meaningful change.
Rather than offering another toolkit, this talk invites attendees to think differently about how we learn, collaborate and make decisions, leaving with practical ideas they can apply to their own projects and organisations.
