About the event

What does a successful Passivhaus certification process actually look like? And what can designers, clients and contractors do to avoid common pitfalls?

Join Paul Smith, Passivhaus Certifier and experienced Passivhaus Designer, for a practical and insightful guide to navigating certification. Drawing on his experience on both sides of the process, Paul will share the key steps, common challenges and practical tips that can help keep your project on track.

You’ll discover:

  • What to expect from the certification process and the role of the certifier
  • Common pitfalls and issues – and how to avoid or resolve them
  • How to prepare effective documentation and present information efficiently
  • Why early collaboration and communication matter
  • How digital tools can streamline certification
  • How to align certification with your project programme and design goals
  • The key differences between Passivhaus and EnerPHit certification
  • Practical advice for designers, clients and contractors

Whether you’re new to Passivhaus or have certification experience, this session will give you a clearer understanding of what good certification looks like, where projects can go wrong, and how to make the process work for your project.
