Claire Lutzow Architect

Claire specialises in complex work to old buildings, remodeling, conversions and extensions. We have completed large residential projects in Sevenoaks, Bromley and beyond, working with listed, historic as well as modern homes. Claire is passionate about reducing the carbon impact of houses: energy retrofit to reduce both your carbon footprint and energy bills.

Claire enjoys working with families to improve and update homes. We perform condition surveys to understand exactly what is needed to get the optimum performance from the building. We get to know our clients in order to provide the best environment for their specific needs.

In the UK a third of our homes were built before the invention of modern materials and technologies. These traditional buildings embody the heritage of our towns and villages but also contain a large amount of embodied carbon. Successfully reusing and redeveloping these buildings is a sustainable way to ensure they can be enjoyed for many generations to come. We can fulfill their potential to be adapted for modern living, reduce the carbon impact in use, while respecting the very different way traditional buildings perform.

Claire Lutzow has a wealth of experience working with traditional homes. Claire has qualifications in:

  • Energy Efficiency Retrofit for Traditional Buildings awarded by The Environment Study Centre for Sustainable Buildings
  • Working with Heritage: Uniting built and social heritage through adaptive reuse from the London School of Architecture
