The Client, the Contractor and the Supplier: choosing the right ventilation system for your project – Online

Registration is closed for this event

This two-hour online training session will feature perspectives of the client, contractor and supplier: a case study of MVHR installation into an existing building, a contractor’s perspective on MVHR and focus on Demand Control Ventilation systems and post occupancy reports.

Some eight years on from the installation of an MVHR installation in his Bristol retrofit, owner and building researcher Ian Mawditt shares his views on the different aspects of the installation. Ian will give a brief overview of the whole build and then specifically why he chose an MVHR ventilation system rather than other options. He will talk briefly about the design process and the pros and cons of installing MVHR into an existing building.

Builder/contractor Tom Morris will present the contractor's perspective on MVHR: the various systems on the market; best practice; what to do and what to avoid.

Finally, Vince House of Aereco will talk about Demand Control Ventilation systems as well as post occupancy data and results from the Thamesmead project that he was involved with. The work carried out at the Thamesmead estate in London featured successful implementation of a ground breaking and award-winning Condensation, Damp and Mould (CD&M) Strategy devised by Dr Peter Rickaby.

This training session will have Q&A breaks to allow participants to ask questions of the speakers.

This seminar is part of a series of 3 events on Ventilation, the first 2 events (The Importance of Ventilation in Buildings Levels 1 & 2) take place on 14th and 28th Sept 2021.

This final session can be booked alongside the first two, or as a separate standalone session.
