Part L – From Zero Carbon to Zero Energy – the influence of National and European legislation on sustainable architecture – Manchester

Registration is closed for this event
Our popular seminar on Part L Building Regulations comes to Manchester this Autumn.

About the seminar

A look at the relationship between the Building Regulations “Part L” and the European “nearly zero energy buildings” target for 2020, with case studies highlighting the effects of energy efficiency standards that would be needed to achieve the target.

This will be an exploration of the statutory drivers for achieving the nearly zero-target, how this differs from the previous zero carbon target and the role of the statutory authorities such as planning and building control in achieving compliance.

The seminar will also cover possible fabric standards for new dwellings, case studies looking at design flexibilities and an analysis of the potential use of high efficiency energy systems and renewables.
