Green Register member Greengauge, based in the beautiful Bradford-on-Avon near Bath, are currently looking to fill the exciting role of Building Physics Engineer. They're looking for someone who shares their passion for sustainable buildings and has 0-2 years of experience (open to graduate-level applicants).
You will be responsible for analysing buildings, components and materials using a variety of tools and techniques, producing reports on the findings and advising clients and design team members on energy, moisture and compliance matters. You will be involved with the ongoing development, deployment, data collection and analysis of our building performance monitoring systems. You will attend design team meetings and site inspections, and be confident dealing with clients, other consultants and contractors.
Your IT skills will be excellent, particularly in Excel. Skills in common programming languages would be beneficial. You will hold a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in maths, physics or engineering. You will have an excellent grasp of physics and maths, and be confident in applying them to real-world problem solving. Experience in the construction industry is less important than enthusiasm to learn about it. Training on commercial software tools will be provided.
