Lucy Pedler | Director
Lucy started both The Green Register (TGR) and her architectural practice in 2000 when her children were 3 and 5 - she attributes the creation of these two new companies to sleep deprivation at the time.
From a desk in her spare bedroom, TGR has grown to be what Lucy had hoped it would be - a successful nationwide organisation promoting sustainable building practices. Lucy has had the pleasure of working with some very committed people and The Green Register team are second to none.
Lucy uses her architectural experience to inform the activities of TGR - understanding what training construction professionals need has contributed to the success of the organisation.
When not working with the TGR team, Lucy runs her own small architectural development company, focussing on providing affordable, small-but-perfectly-designed eco houses for those struggling to get on the first rung of the housing ladder. Lucy also enjoys cycling, cooking and walking in the great outdoors.
Dan Weisselberg | Business Development
Dan joined The Green Register at the beginning of 2015. This followed five years of getting to know Lucy as a householder and TGR as a partner of Bristol Green Doors one of the UK's biggest green open home events which he founded in 2010. He supports our business development through strategic planning and overseeing marketing.
Following careers in marketing bands and records, teaching Design and Technology and house-husbandry, Dan followed an MSc in Advanced Energy and Environmental Studies at UEL / CAT. Out of this he was inspired to retrofit his own home and set up Bristol Green Doors.
"Joining The Green Register is a great way of using my experience of encouraging the normalisation of retrofit to get more of the public aware of what The Green Register members offer".
When not coming up trying to engage more people in the greening of their homes Dan: stands behind the cooker; sits on his bike; dances when DJing; or lies down watching THFC or cricket highlights. He's also a proud dad of two lively secondary school kids and husband to Anna.
Birgit Nicklitzsch | Events & Office Manager
Birgit joined The Green Register in 2010 as Membership and Events Co-ordinator. After many years experience working in events planning and marketing within the legal sector, she left the corporate world with an aim to work for an organisation which pushes for ethical choices and sustainability above profit.
Various roles at a range of third sector organisations followed, along with some invaluable time spent travelling, before she had the chance to join The Green Register. It was a perfect fit. Not to mention that construction pros are a lot more easy-going than lawyers!
When not at work Birgit looks after her family and fits in a bit of diy, yoga and gardening whenever she has a chance.
Elaine Quinn | Event Coordinator
Elaine has been working part time with The Green Register since 2011. Co-ordinating events and venues, and also involved in the membership. Elaine is very much a core part of The Green Register.
With a back ground in Retail management, personnel and training.
When not with TGR, Elaine has a small holistic practice and spends her down time tending to the garden and looking after Inca, her lovely Labrador.
Richard Williamson | Events & Office Manager
Rich has been a part of The Green Register since early 2014, initially holding the fort in Birgit’s absence and now contributing a few hours a week. Rich’s extensive experience in all things events adds to a well managed events programme, as well as assisting with our marketing and web activities.
When not with TGR, Rich spends the time with other clients managing their corporate events programmes. On evenings and weekends he can be found in music venues and festivals around the south west playing his sax for some great local bands.
