A review of The Green Register's Retrofitting Internal Wall Insulation one-day course at the City of Bristol College by attendee and member Charles Clutterbuck.
Preparation for any new architectural project usually involves attending CPD events on design or contract matters to ensure I am ‘on the button’ with my clients. So a renovation and extension to a small very exposed stone faced house on the Purbeck Hills - with views to die for - was no exception.
The Green Register's “Thermal Bridge detail” Bite-Size training was held at Pollard Thomas Edwards (PTE) on Thursday 5th February.
The speaker was Tom Dollard, Head of Sustainability at PTE, who lead an interactive session exploring the various details and construction types that could reduce thermal bridging in new buildings.
WESCON (The West of England Sustainable Construction Network), the sub-regional group The Green Register co-chairs with BaNES (Bath & N E Somerset Council), organised a tour of a brand new civic centre in Keynsham near Bristol on 16th January 2015.
Fantastic news for those living and working in BANES (Bath & North East Somerset)! More funding is now available to attend our training courses in Bristol and Bath thanks to Energy at Home.
The following courses are eligible for discounts of up to 75% and, in some cases, for FREE (see below)
We want to make sure we're spreading word of our sustainable construction training and events as far and wide as possible, and offering the best possible value for money. Can you spare a couple of minutes to help us? We'd love to know your thoughts on what social media sites you use (if any), where you find out about our courses, and those of other training providers.
