We’re proud to be working with Building Sense on two upcoming webinars in December.
First up is ‘Build Tight, Ventilate Right: Airtightness and Controlled Ventilation‘, with The Green Register’s very own co-director Julia Bennett hosting alongside Tom Heywood from Green Building Store. This event will cover:
- Why ventilation is important
- How homes are ventilated traditionally
- Drawbacks of uncontrolled ventilation
- Why airtightness is important
- Advantages of MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery)

On 11th December from 1-2:30pm, learn about insulation at the webinar ‘Tricky But Essential – Insulating Flat Roofs, Sloping Ceilings & Dormers‘. Loft insulation is crucial to energy efficiency in the home. But how well do you really know your loft? Ecological design and build company Hawkland will explain your options for insulating these typical problem areas – and how to do so without losing too much ceiling height – including a discussion of what materials to use in what setting.
