EnerPHit: the passivhaus standard for retrofit, the third event in our Twilight Talks series – watch it for free

Submitted by birgit on Wed, 11/10/2021 – 12:25

EnerPHit, the lesser-known cousin of Passivhaus, drives down energy use in existing buildings and raises performance to the highest level. Using Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) modelling, EnerPHit applies similar rigorous standards to retrofit.

Our speaker at this month’s Twilight Talk was Passivhaus Consultant, architect and trainer Sarah Lewis of The Passivhaus Trust, who, fresh from speaking at COP26 joined us to explain the process and requirements in undertaking an EnerPHit project. In addition to her professional insights, Sarah was able to share the experience of living in her own EnerPHit home. You can watch the recording of this engaging event here.

And if you’d like to delve deeper into the realities of EnerPHit, be sure to join us for EnerPHit Enhancement: Reaching for Passivhaus standards on a 1980s home. This case-study event forms part of our Real-life Retrofit series, where we invite the contractors, designers and clients of individual projects to share their experiences of retrofit.

This project features in the International Passivhaus Association’s Open Days and you can watch our short film here.

If you’re not already a member of The Green Register, attending EnerPHit Enhancement or another of our 2-hour+ training events will open the door, enabling you to apply for membership.
