Anstey Street: “Energy saving retrofit and remodelling of a Victorian 2-bed home in Bristol”

“The clients have done a lot of their own design work and have carried out some construction themselves. They wish to use natural insulation and building materials throughout and have opted for hempcrete walls and roof with a limecrete and glassfoam insulating hardcore at ground level. The benefit of both of these is the role they play in controlling moisture. They appointed me to look over their design and suggest some amendments that would make it easier to build and more attractive. We are currently discussing my input for the technical stages.” – Joshua Wood, Green Trace Architect
