Last Wednesday The Green Register held its annual Steering Group meeting in London.

We used a room at the offices of members Pollard Thomas Edwards architects (PTE) not because it had a fantastic setting overlooking the Regents Canal but because their Head of Sustainable Design, Tom Dollard, is one of our steering group and we have a very good working relationship with them regularly holding training there.

I’ve been waiting decades for this moment.

Ever since my father built and erected a wind turbine in our back garden in 1975, I hoped that a time would come when common sense would prevail and renewable energy would be seen for what it is: a clean, carbon neutral, unlimited and free-at-source of energy that does no harm to our beautiful planet – our one and only home.
