RL-a is an architectural studio formed by Tam Landells and Tim Ratliff. The practice was inaugurated in 2012 with both Tim and Tam working full-time since October 2015. Tim + Tam met at The Bartlett, UCL - one of the top architecture schools in the country. We formed RL-a together with a clear objective: Make good architecture. However we want to be a firm part of the shift to a more collaborative, regenerative form of architecture which tackles some of the most pressing environmental and social issues. We are aligning our practice with our personal values.
We have worked at 3 of the AJ Top 100 Architect firms with clients such as Derwent London, Kajima Developments and Crossrail. We now focus on public, arts and residential work which are more intimate but where projects can have a profound implication on the way small communities and families live and work.
