This training session is primarily open to builders / contractors who want to become Futureproof Associate Builders, going on to provide on-site training to other builders, but there are a limited number of places available for other professionals. Book now to secure your place!

About the session

The Green Register in association with VELUX is providing this training session outlining the basic principles of rooflight installation in retrofit projects as part of our Futureproof training programme, designed especially for builders wishing to understand the key aspects of sustainable building practices.

We will be offering a best practice demonstration with focus around robust detailing and the replacement of an existing VELUX Rooflight, alongside a presentation to support providing the correct solution to the client. The speakers will also illustrate how to identify the correct replacement product and any possible alternative upgrade where appropriate.

Lucy Pedler, director of The Green Register will also be explaining how to upgrade windows (and rooflights) in older, more traditional buildings to improve energy efficiency without significantly altering the appearance of the building.

This is hands-on training for attendees so please bring appropriate PPE (safety footwear) as this really helps to reinforce the learning.

Velux will also give a brief overview of the VELUX company and their social commitment to better internal living environments. They will also discuss the support services available from VELUX for installers and specifiers within the industry.
